From there, they will drive you to your hotel or riad in Marrakech so that you can get settled in and have some downtime. You will spend the night in the city of Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech sightseeing tour
After breakfast on the second morning of our 12-day tour from Marrakech, you will explore the "Red City of Morocco," also known as the "southern pearl" of Morocco and the "second oldest Imperial city."
The famous "Jardin Majorelle," "Bahia Palace," "Menara Gardens," and "Saadian Tombs" will be on your itinerary. The "Mosque of Koutoubia"'s 77m minaret dominates Marrakech's downtown.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site "Jamaa El-Fna" is one of Marrakech's principal attractions. Many cafes around the square offer great views. Explore the colorful souks. Marrakech overnight.
Day 3: Marrakech - Essaouira
On day three, we'll go out of Marrakech for the coastal city of Essaouira. The route to the city, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, has cooperatives producing argan oil and is pleasant to drive. Built into the cliffs, this windy fishing harbor features wide beaches and an ancient medina that is protected by a wall and ramparts.
Stroll along the ramparts or the beach, and check out the port to see the day's catch in the medina. Essaouira hosts the annual Gnaouas Music Festival every June. Essaouira is where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Essaouira » Casablanca
We are going to travel all the way to Casablanca today, which is the biggest city in Morocco and the economic capital of the country. It has around 7 million inhabitants. We anticipate arriving in the late afternoon, at around 15:00, and will then take you straight to your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Casablanca » Rabat » Chefchaouen
Before heading to Chaouen, we stop at the Hassan Il Mosque, Africa's second-largest, after breakfast at the hotel. It faces the Atlantic Ocean on a Casablanca headland. Rabat, Morocco's capital and one of the four royal locations, follows. We visit the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V's tomb, Oudaya Kasbah, and a medieval Andalusian town.
The mouth of Morocco's longest river, the Bou Regreg, is stunning from up here. Chefchaouen is next. We arrive in the charming artist town late afternoon/evening. We'll take you to your hotel in Chefchaouen, a lovely hamlet in the Rif mountains. The little medina contains several galleries with colorful paintings, so there may be time for a stroll. You may still find festively painted structures. Charming Riad overnight.
Day 6: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes City
After a traditional Moroccan breakfast at your hotel or riad, we'll set off on an excursion to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, a veritable open-air museum at the foot of the Rif Mountains. Volubilis is not as stunning as the Roman remains along the Mediterranean coast, but it is nevertheless an enjoyable opportunity to picture a pivotal period in Morocco's past at your own pace.
We'll switch gears and go to Meknes, one of Morocco's four imperial cities that dates back to the 17th century, where we'll stop for lunch and have some free time to explore the city's massive walled medina.
We explore Bab el Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Mosque after lunch. After our day trip to Meknes is over, we'll hop in the car and head to Fes, where we'll spend the night.
Day 7: Fes Sightseeing Tour
The medina of Fes is a heady blend of tastes, sceneries, and noises; it is the oldest and biggest medieval city in the world. Today, you will meet our local guide and experience the breathtaking vistas that Fes has to offer.
Navigate the area by following one of the five different themed tourist circuits. You will have the opportunity to see a large number of mosques and palaces while in Morocco; however, you should be aware that only Muslims are permitted inside mosques in the country.
After you have finished touring the tanneries, restaurants, and dye pits, we will take you back to our hotel so that you can get ready for an optional night of Moroccan entertainment and savor the cuisine at a local restaurant so that you can conclude your time in Fes.
Day 8: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we'll shoot the Moyen Atlas's cork oak and enormous cedar woods, home to Barbary monkeys, on our way to Ifrane.
We'll see the amazing architecture from the south through peaceful routes over the Middle and High Atlas peaks.
Lunch in Midelt will be reached across a barren desert plain. The High Atlas peaks behind the town are stunning.
We'll pass Tizi N'Talremt (Pass of the She Camel) into Ziz valley's arid plain. We will next go south to Erfoud and Rissani, an oasis with over six million palm trees and several Ksours (fortified settlements).
We proceed to the Kasbah hotel at the edge of the golden sand dunes, where you may relax by the pool and enjoy a desert blues band performance.
Day 9: Merzouga - Nomads Families - Tissardmine - Black Desert Khamlia - Merzouga
Waking up early to view the desert dawn and returning to the hotel on camel. Shower and eat breakfast. After breakfast, you will rest for an hour or two before going on a 4WD off-route drive over the dunes past Merzouga oasis, the nomadic repository, and Khamlia hamlet to reach Gnawa settlement. Slaves from black Africa listen to their spiritual music, then encounter desert nomads in their tents and learn a new way of life.
Merzouga Lake, with its bird populations, is nearby, and you'll depart for Rissani. We will go through the spice, vegetable, and clothing souk in Sijilmassa, where the salt caravans from Timbuktu in Mali met.
After lunch in Rissani, we go back to our Kasbah for tea, relaxation, and camel rides into Morocco's highest dunes. We may explore the dunes before nightfall. Dinner and traditional music are offered at a desert camp.
Day 11: Boamlen Dades » Ouarzazate » Ait Benhaddou » Tizi n’tichka » Marrakech
We travel back to Marrakech today. However, much remains to be discovered. We travel through Rose Valley. Local items will excite herbalists. Rose scent. Soap. Body cream. Even essential oil is affordable here.
Moroccan film capital Ouarzazate awaits. Ksar (settlement) Aît Benhaddou is our next destination. Many famous movies—including "The Game of Thrones"—have been filmed in this charming, original clay building. Over the Atlas Mountains again. We pause at the 2260 m Tizi-n-Tichka (Tizi (Berber) = pass) to take in the stunning view before descending to Marrakech. We'll transport you to your hotel/riad based on your departure time.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport of Marrakech
We will take you to the airport depending on the time of your flight, and thus our 12 Day Morocco Holiday Tour will come to an end.
