Overview

The Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga are part of this 4-day desert journey from Fes to Marrakech, which is a must-do. The itinerary includes a camel trip, brief driving, and two nights in the Sahara desert (1 night in a hotel and the second in a desert tent).
In just four days, the schedule includes viewing the Barbary Apes in the Azrou Cedar Forest, seeing nomads who live in the desert, caverns, hiking in Dades Valley or Todra Gorges, additional time at sites, and having tea with a Berber family.

ITINERARY :

DAY 1 : FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERG CHEBBI DUNES

Your 4 DAY TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR will begin with a pickup from your riad or hotel. We'll then drive you via the central chain to Ifrane and Azrou. To train the Barbarian Apes in their natural environment, we'll make a halt in one of the cedar trees that line the route.
As you approach Errachidia, vistas of the Middle-Atlas plateau will become visible, and the landscape will change to reveal signs of the desert as you cross the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and descend the stunning Ziz Gorges carved out of volcanic rock.

After lunch, we'll go to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga through the Ziz Valley.
After a cup of mint tea, we'll leave our possessions in a secure location and ride a camel to the greatest dunes in the area, the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes, where we'll stay in a Berber tent. It takes around an hour and a half for the camel to travel from the camp to the Berber tents where we will spend the night in the desert.
There are mattresses, blankets, and sofas in the tents. We'll assemble around the fire following dinner to listen to the sounds of traditional Berber drums while gazing at the sky. The first day of our Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour is already complete.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour and Camel Ride [Night in Desert Camp]

After breakfast, we'll begin our tour of the region by taking in their music and learning about how they live in a neighborhood of individuals with dark complexion located in Mali.
Then, we'll take a trip to Miffis Mines to learn more about how they operate before detouring past the dunes and into a vast desert with spectacular vistas, where we'll unwind with the native Bedouins over a warm cup of tea before returning to the hotel.
Before taking you to explore the Erg-fascinating Chebbi sand-sea, your local guides will show you how to saddle and off your camel and provide other crucial safety advice. You'll spend the night in a Berber tent.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TINEJDAD – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALEY
After lunch, we'll go to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga through the Ziz Valley.

DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS MOUNATINS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast at the hotel, the day will start with a tour of the breathtaking rock formations of the Dades Gorges. Visit the 17th-century Kasbah of Amridil in Kalaa M'gouna and Skoura before continuing to Oarzazate, Africa's Hollywood, and stopping close to the Atlas Film Studios.
The "Kasbah Ait Benhaddou," a UNESCO world heritage site since 1986, will thereafter be reached. One of the locations utilized as a natural background for several movies, such as "Alexander, Gladiator, Babel," is the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. You may also have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
In the late afternoon, we'll go by car to Marrakech's Red City, passing the Tizi N'tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Transfer to your hotel upon arrival in Marrakech.
